I am a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, an expert in the arena of Artificial Intelligence, and Vice President for Research and Economic Development at the University at Buffalo, a flagship institution of the State University of New York system. I hold six patents, and have authored seven edited books in my field. My family roots are in Vijayawada, India, where I was born. I graduated from IIT Kharagpur in Computer Science before earning a master's degree and PhD from the University at Buffalo. Throughout my life, I have had a deep appreciation for – and desire to learn and gain guidance from – Indian philosophy and faith. My poetry is a reflection of that pursuit.
